    Sport Resource Group was created to give customers in the recreation industry a choice when it comes to ice hockey, lacrosse, inline hockey, gaga and soccer containment systems and accessories.

    The mission of Sport Resource Group is to provide high quality products to recreation professionals at affordable prices complimented by the best customer service in the industry. We offer the highest quality customizable containment systems, portable boundaries and rink solutions to fit your needs.

    Whether you play box lacrosse, gaga, indoor soccer, inline hockey, cross ice hockey or dek hockey, Sport Resource Group has the products you need to make it official. Sport Resource Group was founded by Chris and Maria Guertin in 2006.

    Maria Guertin – Owner/General Manager

    Maria Guertin and her husband, Chris, started Sport Resource Group in February 2006 as a way to give back to the sports communities that mean so much to them.  Maria grew up in a small Central Wisconsin town where community support was vital to youth sports. Maria built her life the same way she approaches everything else: with energy, discipline, and a competitive edge. A proud Wisconsin native, she grew up surrounded by football fields, basketball courts, frozen lakes, and a deep-rooted love of sports. Whether it was playing on local teams or cheering from the sidelines, athletics shaped her early sense of teamwork, resilience, and drive—qualities that would later define her career. Her college choice took her to the University of Wisconsin-Stout where she graduated with a degree in Retail Merchandising and Management.

    Today, she is a successful business owner known for her hands-on leadership style and relentless work ethic. She brings the same focus and determination from her athletic background into the business world, creating an environment that values collaboration, accountability, and growth. Building her company with her husband from the ground up, she has navigated challenges with confidence, always staying adaptable and forward-thinking.
     
    Outside of work, staying active isn’t just a hobby—it’s part of who she is. You’ll often find her starting the day with a workout, exploring new fitness classes, or enjoying the outdoors whenever she can. From local trails to recreational sports leagues, she thrives on movement and the mental clarity it brings.
     
    Despite her busy schedule, Maria always finds time to spend with her Chris and watching her three children in their various sports and activities. For Maria, being present is more than just an idea. Driven, active, and endlessly motivated, Maria has proven that success is built on passion, persistence, and a willingness to keep moving forward.

    Chris Guertin – President

    Beginning with internships for CBS Sports and the Florida Marlins, Chris learned the value of presenting a professional product on a consistent basis and parlayed that experience into a stint as World Tournament Coordinator for the National Inline Hockey Association (NIHA). From its inception in 1993 until its successful merger with USA Hockey Inline in 1996, the NIHA built its membership database from nothing to over 60,000 players, coaches and referees.

    In 1996 Chris joined the group at In-Line Sport Systems Inc (ISSI) to organize and run its successful Border Patrol Rink Systems division. After developing additional programs such as the Cross Ice Hockey program in the late 90’s with USA Hockey, Chris was ready for a new challenge.

    From 2004 through the beginning of 2007, Chris served as the Sales Manager for the Southeast and International regions for a local hockey company. Through those years he made many valuable friendships, forged valuable relationships with vendors and customers and developed the skills needed to consistently deliver the best possible products to recreation industry on a consistent basis. That experience combined with a passion for sports was the motivation behind Sport Resource Group.

Chris and his wife, Maria, live in Minneapolis, MN, where they can often be found playing floor hockey with their twin daughters, Savannah and Sylvia, and son, Owen.

    Branden Carlson – Project Manager

    Branden joined Sport Resource Group in 2022 and has since taken on a wide range of responsibilities across the organization. His role spans sales, project management, logistics coordination, installation, and marketing, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the business. In many cases, Branden serves as the first point of contact for customers, helping guide projects from initial inquiry through completion.

    Before joining Sport Resource Group, Branden graduated from Mayer Lutheran High School and went on to attend University of Minnesota Morris, where he earned a degree in Sports Management with an emphasis in Financial and Organizational Management. His education provided a strong foundation in leadership, operations, and business strategy within the sports industry.

    Sports have always played a significant role in Branden’s life. He competed in both football and baseball at the collegiate level and remains actively involved in his community as a youth football, baseball, and basketball coach. In his free time, Branden enjoys mowing the lawn, attending Minnesota sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.
